Dr. Cheri St. Arnauld - Provost and Chief Academic Officer

Dr. St. Arnauld is Provost and Chief Academic Officer responsible for ensuring accountability within Grand Canyon University’s colleges and rigor in its academic programs. In this role, Dr. St. Arnauld leads the colleges, the Office of Graduate Studies, the Office of Assessment and the Center for Learning and Advancement to ensure that the instruction offered to students is distinctive and provides a quality education.

Prior to Provost, Dr. St. Arnauld served as Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, Interim Dean of the College of Education and Interim Director of the Office of Graduate Studies. While at Grand Canyon University, Dr. St. Arnauld led several successful accreditation site visits at the university and college level, directed several faculty development and student success projects, and developed a new curricular design process for university programs.

Dr. St. Arnauld also served as Executive Director of the National Association of Community College Teacher Education Programs, a national organization representing more than 500 members.  Her areas of expertise in educational leadership are instruction, learning, assessment and evaluation.  Dr. St Arnauld is recognized as a leader and expert at both the state and national levels and a regular speaker at national conferences on visionary practices in higher educaction. 

Dr. St. Arnauld earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University (Fort Lauderdale, FL).  She earned her Masters in Education in Curriculum and Instruction, and Bachelor of Arts in Elementary and Special Education from Arizona State University (Phoenix, AZ).  Cheri also holds Arizona credentials in Elementary Education (K-8), Special Education (K-12), and Superintendent.
