The College of Education is the largest college at Grand Canyon University. The College of Education, the most progressive college, started the Master of Arts in Teaching program using the ANGEL learning system. However, as progressive as this was, the delivery modality likened more to a correspondence course. With the change of ownership, however, the college was the first to transition all its masters programs online, as well as subscribe to the idea of implementing a process that requires a program design, delivery of the program, program maps, and then assessment.
The College of Education has been offering quality education degree programs for teachers since 1949. In fact, Grand Canyon University was originally established as a teacher's college and we've been preparing educators and administrators for more than 50 years. Many of the teachers at local school districts will tell you Grand Canyon University is quite prestigious with a very strong reputation for turning out top-notch teachers and administrators. And, the College of Education likes to boast a 99% placement rate for its graduates.
