The College of Education prepares leaders who possess foundational knowledge, encourage student-focused learning, implement quality instructional design, use effective classroom procedures, and engage in reflective practice.

Outstanding reputation. College of Education graduates are quick to be hired, sharing the best of reputations among principals and other administrators throughout Arizona.

Knowledgeable professors. Professors are highly qualified in their respective fields having garnered many awards as authors, presenters, and teachers. They give individual attention to students, stress mutual interaction with others, and use cutting edge, research-based pedagogy to convey the most current information.

Meaningful field experiences. Students observe a variety of teachers working in multicultural classrooms and participate in more than 100 hours of meaningful teaching experiences prior to student teaching.

Multiple methods of instruction. Multiple methods of instruction are utilized to meet the needs of all students. Course content is rigorous, purposeful, and focused on the adult learner.

Grand Canyon University’s College of Education is approved by the Arizona State Board of Education to offer institutions recommendations for the certification of elementary, secondary, special education teachers, and administrators.
