According to the Arizona Department of Education all classroom teachers (elementary, secondary, special education, career and technical), and administrators (supervisors, principals, and superintendents) need this endorsement. All courses must be on the Arizona English Acquisition SEI approval list.

College of Education offers the following courses for teacher candidates in order to obtain a full Arizona SEI Endorsement:

• Provisional Structured English Immersion – ESL 423-SEI English Language Teaching: Foundations and Methodologies
• Full Structured English Immersion – ESL 433-Advanced Methodologies and Assessments of Structured English Immersion
