In order to promote student success, the university has established a number of placement tests in English and math which are used to help the student find the most appropriate fit for their skill level upon entering college. These placement tests are used as a strategy to increase the academic achievement of students and to support their development. Placement tests are available in math, English, and biology. These assessments help find courses that match your skills and can also be used to by-pass prerequisites to certain classes. All students are encouraged to read the policy in the most current version of the catalog, which can be found on the GCU website.
