Living in Community Residential communities provide opportunities to engage with a variety of people, some of whom may become your lifelong friends. It all starts with your roommates and your neighbors and before long you'll have a network of new friends on campus.
GCU staff is available to help you adjust to living on campus. Resident Assistants (RAs) are student leaders who live on residence hall floors and in campus apartments. They are trained to provide leadership to the residents and plan activities and programs. Resident Directors (RDs) are professional staff members who live in Hegel Hall and the North Rim Apartments. They train and work with the RAs and oversee the administration of the building. Life Leaders (LLs) live in the hall and in the apartments and focus on the development of students' spiritual needs.
RAs and LLs are selected each year after an application process. Students interested in applying to become a RA or a LL must submit an application. Applications are available in the beginning of the spring semester.
