 As of August 1, 2007, Brent Richardson, Chief Executive
Officer announced the appointment of Dr. Kathy Player to
the position of Provost and Chief Academic Officer for Grand
Canyon University. Dr. Player has served in leadership
roles at the University since 1998, most recently as the
Dean of the Ken Blanchard College of Business and the College
of Entrepreneurship.
Dr. Player has the leadership skills and experience that
are necessary to provide the academic vision for the University
as we move to the next levels of success. During her
tenure, the Ken Blanchard College of Business has achieved
reaccreditation through ACBSP and has achieved enrollment
growth exceeding goal. She has established new programs including
an Executive MBA program, degree programs in Entrepreneurship,
and a Master of Science in Leadership. She has developed
and expanded partnerships with businesses, healthcare facilities,
and international institutions with an emphasis on providing
the knowledge and skills necessary for a competitive workforce.
